Welcome to the Medic Merit Badge guide for Fallout 76! For advanced players, this isn’t the most difficult merit badge, but certainly it’s the most challenging of the Tadpole badges, so we certainly don’t recommend this as one of your initial three to unlock the Possum rank or your backpack. Before we get into tips and suggestions, here are the requirements for the merit badge.
- Pass “Medic” knowledge exam at an exam terminal
- Craft Antibiotics (x/3)
- Craft Disease Cures (x/3)
- Craft Healing Salve (x/3)
- Use a Stimpak: Diluted (x/3)
- Use a Stimpak (x/3)
- Use a Stimpak: Super (x/3)
- Use a Stimpak Diffuser (x/3)
If you’re looking for the questions and answers for the knowledge exam, we’ll have those in an expandable box down below. The next three requirements call for crafting various healing items, and you can get the recipes simply through progressing through the story or buying them from the Enclave medical wing (or player vendors). Occasionally you can get some of them from event rewards and such, but that’s kind of a gamble.
The last four requirements require you to use (but not necessarily craft) various types of stimpaks. The first three can be found around the world, as quest/event rewards, or in player vendors, but the Stimpak Diffuser can only be crafted by someone who obtained the plan from the Project Paradise event at Arktos Pharma. Even with the new lobby notifications, this event still is rather challenging and poorly attended, so you’d have to either gather a competent group of friends together, get a crew via Facebook or Reddit, or buy a recipe from someone who managed to obtain an extra (hopefully not duped). If you don’t want to run the event, you can simply buy the diffusers from someone who has crafted a few extra.
