It’s been a while since we’ve had a new Rainbow Six game to sink our teeth into. Given that Rainbow Six Patriots was cancelled, the last releases in the franchise were Vegas 1 (2006) and 2 (2008). Yes, oh yes, we are ready for a serious tactical shooter, and we’re hoping this spot of news will help tide us over until the game (hopefully) delivers what we’re looking for.

Rainbow Six Seige is expected to come out late 2015 or early 2016, and has many excited. Note that, while the alpha is PC only, the full game is going to release on Xbox One and Playstation 4 as well.

Ubisoft is currently taking registrations for the closed alpha, which is only available to players in North America and Europe, and only featuring English at this time. You will need a Uplay account (free) if you want to jump in, but I imagine most of those interested likely already have one. System Requirements and other FAQ are available, although a specific date for the alpha is not.
