In addition to astounding graphical improvements and a bevy of creative controls, one of the features available on the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V that has been generating the most buzz is the robust video editor built into the game. In a recent article on the Rockstar Newswire, Rockstar specifically addressed questions from numerous users, and revealed that a scaled-down version of the video editor is expected to be coming to the Playstation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game over the summer, along with The Lab radio station for all four console editions. While users wouldn’t have the graphical advantages, or the full palette of tools available to PC users, they would have most of the options available to them to create their own videos and movies.
In a mix of good and bad news, they teased new content that was in the works, but referring specifically to questions about more heists, “please understand that Grand Theft Auto Online Heists were a tremendous undertaking so it’s not the sort of thing where we can easily create and publish additional Heists like other Job modes and missions.” It doesn’t mean that more heists aren’t coming, but they strongly suggested that other content would be coming first, including a “big content update for all five systems.” We’ll let you ruminate on what that could mean.
They still haven’t said anything one way or the other about the Mission Creator, which is one of our most anticipated features. Imagine the community creating their own versions of heists and missions for everyone to partake in. We might never leave San Andreas if that happens…
