Heroes of the Storm goes live tomorrow, June 2nd, and Blizzard is gearing up for the big day! They released the teaser trailer for the next hero, Johanna from the Diablo universe. There is an XP boost celebrating the launch. They also posted a blog entry about upcoming ranked play changes.
The XP boost can be claimed by logging in to Heroes of the Storm during the first week of launch. It’s a 25% boost, and all the details can be found here.
The ranked changes talked about in the blog include a “Placement Phase” when you first start playing ranked mode. This should help people get better matches before they reach their true MMR, making early games less frustrating. They also explain the ranked points system, a new Grandmaster rank, and some changes to how the ranked system changes 5 man teams.
