The Rise of Tiamat expansion for the free-to-play Neverwinter is coming this month (June) to the Xbox One, but starting June 4th, you can participate in the lead-up event, Siege of Neverwinter. “As the Cult of the Dragon looks to resurrect the five-headed draconic goddess Tiamat from the Nine Hells, adventurers must band together to prevent the catastrophic takeover of the city of Neverwinter.”
While details about the event are sparse at the moment, the expansion itself will include a 25 player battle against a mythical dragon. Also, there is a new area, the Well of Dragons, where players will continue the Tyranny of Dragons campaign and seek to thwart the Cult of the Dragon.
In addition to the content, there are improvements coming to address “the performance and stability of the game” which hopefully will make dungeons and end-game content more accessible and enjoyable. For more information, visit the post from the developers here.
