Games Done Quick, the premiere speed running event on Twitch, is live this week from July 26th through August 1st. That’s right, it’s going on right now! Don’t worry if you missed anything though, there is plenty to come.

Games Done Quick is a semiannual speed running event that raises money for charities, brings together the best speed runners in the world, and plays some really cool games, really quick. The main charity that they stream for is a group called Doctor’s Without Borders. If you’d like more information check out their Twitch page.

The games being run include classics like Ghouls and Ghosts, many Legend of Zelda titles, Castlevania titles, Sonic the Hedgehog and more! There are also newer games being speed run as well (e.g. Bioshock Infinite, Wings of Vi). No matter what your gaming preferences, this event will have something worth watching.

For a taste of what the event is like, here is Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island, run by Trihex. This was the kickoff game of the event and Trihex pulls off some crazy moves in this SNES classic. The game starts around 13 minutes in.
