I’m not nearly the collector I’d like to be, or that I used to be, but these Star Wars toys have me rethinking my money and space-saving ways. Who knew that Disney could do merchandising so well?
There’s so much coming out starting on what has been dubbed “Force Friday” that it’s hard to know where to start. Do I mention the customizable multi-bladed light sabers? The voice and smartphone controlled BB-8? A 1/8th sized handcrafted depiction of the brutal death of Jar Jar Binks? Unfortunately, that one isn’t real, but I would pay so much money if it were. So much money.
You’re welcome to just head straight to Amazon’s Star Wars Page, or check out more videos and highlights here first.
So, for one of my personal favorites, I’ll start with the new voice and smartphone controlled BB-8. It has a set of voice commands it recognizes (apparently it understands twelve different languages) which is augmented by the remote control app you can run off of your smartphone. This adorable little piece of tech will set you back $150. Unless you can use the force to drive down the price at your local scrap meet. Good luck with that.
NEW: Millenium Falcon Drone, you say? We say yes. And yes. And more yes.
Next up is the unboxing for the Bladebuilder light-saber toy. This one seems a bit silly, but hey, how else can your little ones become a true jedi unless they can build their first light-saber?
And, of course, the Battle Action Millenium Falcon, with a few action figures.
And here are some die-cast action figures as well!
NEW: Lego Star Wars X-Wing!
As more videos and details are posted, I’ll keep updating this page.
