Looking Forward to Our Coverage of CES 2016

In case you haven’t heard, we’ll have your inside coverage to the industry-only Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January. We’ve already secured our passes, and are making plans for interviews, videos, and all the best from the show floor, and behind the scenes. While we certainly feel like we’ll be a kid in the world’s best electronic candy store, we’re happy to bring you the awe and wonder of the event, as well as the gadgets and gizmos which will inspire you, make you laugh, or make you wonder what they were thinking. How big is CES, you ask, how how hard is it to get in? Well, “An official independent audit confirmed a record 176,676 industry professionals in attendance at the 2015 CES, including more than 45,000 from outside the U.S.  To maintain a quality CES experience for all those who participate, stricter registration credentials have been implemented to keep attendance at or below 176,000. CES 2016 will feature more than 3,600 exhibiting companies showcasing the latest innovation across more than two million net square feet.” We qualified, and we’ve got our passes, and we’re over the moon with anticipation. While CES is certainly famous for its share of entertainment technology, they wanted to emphasize that’s only the tip of the iceberg as they revealed next year’s theme.

“CES is not just about entertainment products and services; we’re seeing cutting edge technology which helps mankind and betters our world,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CEA.  “We are excited to tell this story to CES attendees and the global audience we reach to reinforce that CES is the home for life-changing tech that is improves lives today and can solve global issues tomorrow.” Whether it’s 3D printed tools and prosthetics, mobile technology, self-driven automobiles, or clean-cooking technology for the developing world, there is a wealth of improvements being made to how we live.

Obviously we’ll be bringing you the best of the entertainment reveals, but we’ll be scouring the entire show to bring you information on new devices, processes, or other technological advances which might make your life better, make it more entertaining, or make you wish your wallet was a bit fatter. We’re very excited to have the opportunity to bring this coverage to you, and would love to hear what you’d be interested in hearing more about. Feel free to leave a comment below, or contact me directly with your thoughts or questions about the event.

If this is the kind of coverage you’d be interested in (and you’d like to help improve the quality of our coverage), we hope you’ll consider supporting us via our GoFundMe page, PayPal, or a direct donation. While we hate pandering, advertising revenue only goes so far (and we’d love to remove adverts from the site entirely, if it were possible). Any support, no matter how small or large would be greatly appreciated.
