That’s right! After a harrowing holiday season, which included among other things breaking my computer and having to buy a new one two days before Christmas, I, Ritterific, am back to grace you with my pointless opinions and curmudgeony gaming tastes. What better way to do so than to highlight the ever amazing Awesome Games Done Quick marathon that concluded this weekend.
You can catch all of the VOD’s from the event on Games Done Quick’s Youtube channel, but I’ve picked out a few of my favorites. You can also get more information about this great marathon on their webpage, https://gamesdonequick.com/.
This is a Super Mario Maker race and just an all around excellent example of what everyone’s favorite plumber has been through in last couple decades.
Velocity 2X was the biggest surprise game for me out of the event. Not only was it a game I’d never even heard of, but watching the speed run made me want to go out and play this game myself.
There was a block of “terrible” games at this year’s AGDQ and Hudson Hawk is definitely terrible. I do agree with one of the commenters though when he says that Bruce Willis throwing baseballs at a kangaroo was his favorite part of the movie. Mine too, buddy. Mine too.
Yes, I saved the best for last. Secret of Mana is one of my all time favorite RPG’s, especially because Nintendo tricked you into buying an adapter so that three people could play the game together. I was super-excited to see this game in the line up this year.
