If you’re looking for guides to complete the Pioneer Scout merit badges, you’re in the right place! Well, at least we think so. We’ve finished the fourth round of revisions for all merit badges, and hopefully we’ll have all of the maps finished soon* as well. Just make sure that before you start work on the Possum badges that you’ve finished at least three of the Tadpole badges and unlocked your Possum rank (and earned the backpack).
Our recommendations for the easiest three Tadpole badges are Archer, Athlete, and Hunter, unless you have a friend that you can revive in water, then Swimmer would replace Hunter in that group.The next easiest one is Mammologist, as long as you don’t mind milking cows and taking photos. Codebreaker, Cook, Entomologist, Herpetologist, and Medic are all merit badges that will probably take longer, and so we recommend you complete those at your leisure.
Once you’ve earned your Possum rank, then, unless you prefer stomping around in Power Armor, you’ll want to get Possum merit badges so you can unlock backpack upgrade mods from the Possum vendor. At this point, if you don’t have a camera already, you’re going to really want one, as most of these require some pictures to be taken. We recommend starting with Photographer, Archaeologist, Rail Enthusiast and Atomics Fan, as they are probably the easiest to complete. In the second tier, we’d probably recommend Backpacker, Roboticist, and Gardener. As of our last testing, the Electrician merit badge is bugged (requirement #6), and so doesn’t appear to be currently doable.
